The whole Employee Benefits landscape is changing with the whole Obamacare. Most businesses have a broker…..hopefully they’re on top of all the compliance issues that surround the Health Care Reform. Health Insurance for even Small Businesses is changing and there are many compliance issues that even the smaller employers will have to adhere to. The first is coming up in mid September……it involves the mandatory issuing of benefit paperwork from the employer to the employees. If your broker doesn’t know about it….they should!
Our strategy involves the implementation of putting many products together with the outcome of a BETTER end result. My biggest compliment came from a CEO that agreed, reluctantly, to allow me to do a presentation to explain our “strategy”. About half way through, the CEO, who up to that point looked bored to death, suddenly sat up in his chair and began to take notice and actually listen to what I was presenting. It was at that point that the “LIGHT BULB” went on.
It made sense to him. THEN, he looks at his CFO and said “why hasn’t OUR broker shown us this?” The CFO looked befuddled and basically shrugged his shoulders. When they looked at me I said “maybe you should ask them!”
A week later, after their broker had no good explanation, I had a new client!!
I’ll say it again…..Health Insurance for Small Business does NOT have to cost you a fortune. It really doesn’t! And, I can prove it.
