Business Health Insurance

Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans

An HMO works like this: if you choose an HMO plan type of insurance, you’ll typically pay just a small co-payment if you visit a physician or hospital within the plan network. HMOs often have lower premiums and co-pays than other plans. Whether you are getting group insurance or individual. Usually with an HMO plan they will not pay for non-emergency care if it’s performed by an out-of-network physician or facility.

Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans

When it comes to doctors, you are in a “provider network.” Unlike HMOs, PPO health insurance will cover some (but not all) of the cost of care administered by out-of-network providers.
